DNA sample processing takes 4-6 weeks once the sample is scanned into our lab. This means that the clock starts once the sample is in the hands of our lab team, and we will notify you by email as soon as the results are posted to your Basepaws.com account!

On occasion, our lab may experience a slight delay; in these rare instances, you will be contacted by email about your pet's sample status.

Please make sure to register the kit online before mailing it back to prevent delays or even total loss of the sample by missing this step. If you have submitted a Basepaws kit unregistered, please contact our team at [email protected] for assistance and include all of the relevant information in your inquiry:

1. Order number

2. Name on the order

3. Pet's name (cat or dog)

4. Your return address from the shipping label

5. Any of the information that may have been written on the box itself
