What's included in a Basepaws Breed + Health Cat DNA test?Updated a month ago

Each Basepaws DNA test includes a single, sterile cheek swab with stabilizing liquid, a biohazard specimen bag, and detailed instructions inside the box for proper sample collection.

If the biohazard specimen bag is missing, you can simply use a plastic baggie to hold the swab sample during shipping.

Please keep in mind that only one swab sample is needed to process both the DNA and Oral Health results! All orders placed on or after November 15th, 2021 from Basepaws.com will receive free Oral Health results along with the DNA test.

Pre-paid return shipping is only included for U.S. customers only. International customers will be required to cover the return shipping of their pets' samples. Please see this section of our Help Center for more information on International Shipping.

Your pet's results will be posted to your online Basepaws account; we DO NOT print or mail ANY paper copies of the results. You may download a PDF and print it out at home or through a printing service if you choose. The DNA report is a living document that will continue to grow and change, paper copies are not sustainable or economical.

The report is currently English-only, but expanding our language options is being taken into consideration for the future. You may find a free online service that translates the report in English to a different language.

The digital format of the Breed + Health report for felines is tentative and may possibly change in the future as part of our advancements in science and technology. If and when we do make any changes, rest assured, they will be major improvements!
