Cat parents within the U.S. will not have to worry about shipping costs, shipping will be free both ways! The USPS return label on your CatKit is valid only within the U.S., which means U.S. customers may simply drop off the kit in the mail at any USPS dropoff bin, or at a USPS post office.
Samples mailed via USPS Priority Express Mail will arrive at our facilities in ~1-3 weeks, which is the type of shipping for all orders placed in 2022. Please take note of the return tracking number on the box, as this will help you keep an eye on your cat's sample.
USPS tracking will indicate when the sample has arrived at our facilities, and we scan samples into our lab about twice per week. Please keep in mind that there may be a 1-3 business day lag in the stated delivery date by USPS and the time you are notified of the sample's arrival at the lab. Once the sample has been scanned into our laboratory, you will receive an email update once we start extracting your cat’s sample.
Kits purchased prior to 2021, and kits purchased from third-party sellers, may have Business Reply Mail. This type of mail can often take up to between 6-8 weeks to be delivered to our laboratory. While this is frustrating, USPS still does reliably deliver this mail in time. 9 out of 10 samples assumed to be lost eventually do arrive.
USPS delays are very common these days. We appreciate your patience while we wait for your pet's sample to arrive at our laboratory.
Policies for replacement kits:
We must allow USPS 30+ days to deliver your cat's sample to our laboratory if mailed via USPS Priority Express Mail domestically.
We must allow USPS 60+ days for your cat’s sample to arrive at our laboratory if mailed via USPS Business Reply Mail domestically.
You are welcome to purchase alternative shipping with a carrier of your choice, please use the address stated on the test kit, which is also listed here for your convenience:
