Cat parents within the U.S. will not have to worry about shipping costs, shipping is free both ways! The USPS return shipping label on your CatKit is valid only within the U.S., which means U.S. customers may simply drop their kit in the mail at any USPS Blue Drop Box or at any USPS location.
Please note the return tracking number on your kit’s return shipping label, as this will help you keep an eye on your cat's sample while in transit.
USPS tracking will indicate when the sample has arrived at our facility. We scan samples at our lab once or twice per week. This means that there may be a 1-4 business day delay between the stated delivery date by USPS and the time you are notified of the sample's arrival at our lab. Once the sample has been scanned into our system you will receive an email notification indicating that the sample has arrived.
Kits purchased prior to 2021, as well as kits purchased from third-party sellers, may have Business Reply Mail as the return shipping service. This type of mail can often take between 6-8 weeks to be delivered to our laboratory. While this is frustrating, USPS still does reliably deliver this mail in time. 9 out of 10 samples assumed to be lost eventually do arrive.

If you have placed your order with the wrong mailing address, please contact [email protected] as soon as possible. We will do our best to update the mailing address before your order is shipped. However, in the event that your order does ship with the incorrect address, please still reach out so that we can void your original kit and initiate a replacement.
Policies for replacement kits:
We must allow USPS 45+ days to deliver your cat's sample to our laboratory if mailed via USPS First Class Mail domestically.
We must allow USPS 75+ days for your cat’s sample to arrive at our laboratory if mailed via USPS Business Reply Mail domestically.
